I have tried everything to get my system to dual boot! The windows xp boot loader is fine and two copies of xp are usable through the loader.
The linux partitions are on hdb and the windows ones are on the hda the hda is the one with the windows mbr on it. I have tried making a copy using dd to make bootsect.lnx and then tried to reference it in the boot loader. I have tried to just reference the hd that doesnt work either.
Then something dawned on me. The linux boot disk works straight away. Why cant I remove the files from the bootdisk and refrence them somehow in the xp bootloader?
The contents of the files are illegible apart from that of syslinux.cfg which are
yeah im not actually trying to boot from hdb i just have linux partitions on hdb and windows on hda i want to boot from hda mbr which is the windows one.
