Question How to make a specific command(s) work for specific users or group only

hello everybody !

Iam just a newbie in Linux and iam having a small doubt here.
I want to know how to make a specific or set of commands for a specific user or a set to users.

I tried to make it by using "Access Control Lists", by setfacl command.
Please send if there is any other way apart from acl's in doing that.

Thanks to all in advance.

To restrict an executable to a certain group, type (as root):
chmod o-x path/to/exec
chown root:group path/to/exec

Essentially you can create multiple bin directories and grant or restrict access at the group or users level. I guess I need to know the scenario that you attempting to solve.

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
