how to install and configure a file server in fedora core 3
I want to know step by step how to install a File server using Fedora Core 3 and make all configurations required so that any computer on the network can access file and other documents stored on the server even for computers running on windows. The server is too big with Intel Pentium D 830 to 3 Ghz Processor, 2x1MB L2 virtual memory, 800Mhz FSB with 3 hard disk each has 36 GB and 1 GB for DDR SDRAM 533MHZ.
fc3 is a really bad choice of distro to do this on. Fedora is for developers and experimenting with linnux as a technology. it's just about the worst candidate for a server out there. once you've picked a good server, e.g. Centos, you need to read up on Samba, and configure it accordingly.
