With a font editor.......!!

Are you asking a Linux question, or something more general?

i mean that my question - "how to edit fonts?"
contains the answer...

idea is to edit existing font and replace uppercase letters
with png images.
and to use that font in Firefox.

You did not answer my question, but I will assume you are looking for a Linux font editor. One that I know of is Fontforge: http://fontforge.sourceforge.net/

You can also search Google for Linux font editors.

If you are making a web page, the preferred method is to put in background images in the text using a <span> tag.

yes, i'm running linux

my general idea is to:
1. edit installed font and to replace just uppercase letters with letters taken from "png" images
2. use that modified font in Firefox

10x for giving directions
