how to dual boot

I have installed two hard drives in my PC. The IDE1 master HD has Windows XP and the IDE2 Master HD has RH Linux 7.3.

Right now the PC boot to WIN XP and I dont have an option to select which OS to use. How do I make my system so I can select which OS to use?

Thanks for any help!

You can try putting the linux drive as the primary and see if it boots to redhat.
If it does, then you need to edit the /etc/grub.conf file to show the other drive and setup the boot options.

or you can just make a linux boot floppy and not worry about
installing lilo, grub and you won't have to worry about
fubar'ing your MBR!! windows and linux won't know that they
are on the same box............. much more simple that way

Here is what I added to my lilo.conf . not sure if it will work the same with grub.

This is at the end of the file.

#Windows XP config starts
other=/dev/hdb1
label="Windoze_XP"
table=/dev/hdb
#Windows XP config ends

I think you can go in via a gui also to set the paramaters.

Edit:

Here is an example of the grub config for dual booting with XP

title = Windows XP
map (hd0, hd1)
map (hd1, hd0)
chainloader (hd*,*)+1
