Question how to configure CMI 8738 Sound by alsa

i have CMI8738 sound.Linux Kernel version is 2.4.3-12. I successfully configured it using sndconfig. I tried to configure it using alsaconf-0.4.3b-1 with alsa version 0.5.11. There wasn't an entry for CMI 8738. I tried CMI 8330.It failed. How do I know its WSS I/O port, IRQ, First DMA, IO port, IRQ, 8-bit DMA, Max 8-bit DMA size in kB, 16-bit DMA, Max 16-bit DMA size in kB.
