How to choose windows managers

Hiya all,

My linux starts up with the console mode, once there ... how could I choose the window manager I want? The prob is that the one which pops up when I type startx is not the one I want to start by default /

Thanks!

in your home dir, edit .xinitrc
the first line should point to the one you want to use

WM

I have installed Gnome and Window Maker. Gnome is the one which is launched when I type startx. How could I set Window Maker the default one?
