How to boot Linux from WinXP's bootloader?

I had a real problem at windows and had to reinstall (what else is new with windowz you might say ); Ok you're right but some applications can't run at WineX so I must have winxp installed....

I have 2 HDs, first has win, second linux. The thing is that when I installed XP, their bootloader overwritted lilo and now I can't boot in my Linux distro. I know there's a way booting Linux from XP's boot.ini... So, win are hda, and linux is hdb. If anyone has a solution please help.

here's the boot.ini options:
Code:
[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect
i guess i should add a line next to:
Code:
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect
like this???:
Code:
multi(0)disk(1)rdisk(0)partition(1)="Linux"

You're probably going to have to explicitly list the sectors or use loadlin or something, Windows still won't recognise the partition and boot it (do you think it will actually even know how to look for a kernel, never mind that you didn't specify one ).
