how do i delete netscape


hello i used to have netscape 6 installed i decided to get rid of it and just upgrade my mozilla to 1.6 now iv managed to upgrade my mozilla but when i open a terminal and type locate netscape it actually find it how is it posible netscape can be found if i have deleted it. now when i go in to my file manager netscaspe is not there can any 1 please tell me what i need to do to get rid of netscape once and for all. thanks 4 any help

does it find an executable or just a bunch of stuff in /usr

if the latter it is because mozilla is netscape. Well it is netscape without aol and the name, you can read up about the finer details at mozilla.org if you are really interested. Try 'whereis netscape' see if that returns anything.

yeah thats fine, I am pretty sure they are all mozillas( and I see a few others ) files. There is no netscape executable in there. It looks like you uninstalled it properly.
