/home on two harddisks

as it is now, i have / on hda1 and /home on hdb1.
can i set up /home to both hdb and hda? so my / takes ca 50% of hda and /home takes the remaining 50% + hdb?

perhaps a stupid question....

If I've read this right, then you want to set up your /home partition so that it uses both a partition on /hda and another on /hdb.

You can achieve this using software RAID; search for the software RAID HOWTO on http://www.tldp.org/

Activate the LVM (Logical Volume Manager) which comes with SuSE and read up on
