"Hibernated" NTFS partition

Hi, my Windows partition is corrupt, I need to mount it on Linux to backup my documents and downloads, but I can't:

Code:
$ sudo mount /media/sda1
Windows is hibernated, won't mount.
Failed to mount '/dev/sda1': Operação não permitida
The NTFS partition is hibernated. Please resume and shutdown Windows
properly, so mounting could be done safely.
My fstab:

Code:
$ cat /etc/fstab
# /etc/fstab: static file system information.
#
# -- This file has been automaticly generated by ntfs-config --
#
# <file system> <mount point>   <type>  <options>       <dump>  <pass>

proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
# Entry for /dev/sda3 :
UUID=2eb0074b-c96a-4cbf-9703-69e20535fc09 / reiserfs notail 0 1
/dev/sda1    0 0
# Entry for /dev/sda1 :
UUID=FCF86D0EF86CC90A /media/sda1 ntfs-3g defaults,locale=pt_PT.UTF-8 0 1
/dev/scd0 /media/cdrom0 udf,iso9660 user,noauto 0 0
My distro is Ubuntu Gutsy

From a root shell (i.e. no sudo), what does "mount -t ntfs /dev/sda1 /media/sda1" (with the quotes) say?

Note: "Operação não permitida" is the Portuguese for "Not allowed operation"

ntfs-3g 1.913 solves this problem: http://www.ntfs-3g.org/releases.html

The -o ro mount option also helps if read-only mount is enough.

Thank you very much!

I didn't need to edit the fstab either!

Now it's backup time
