Didn't you see what I replied to you in your other similar post?

I said to use either vmware or virtualbox. Read your original post and see the links for those two virtual machines I mentioned.

Check distrowatch.com for all types of linux distros.

thnx again for replying agian :P
actualy i forgot your post .. but ive kidna gived up about it
simply vista is working realy smooth even when i use multiple tasks
and i only use some things in the terminal .. so ive came to a conclusion that id rather use a light weigh distro
im looking for something just to run basic tasks in terminal yet i want it to have a basic gui interface too
so im looking for something that wont overload my system ... as i want to use it along with many other taske .. and vista is kinda big by itself ..
in other words .. with a vm ill manage
but im looking for light wieght and very basic distro yet not only command line system ..
ive tryed distrowatch and i go there often
yet i havent found a way to find what i want exactly ..
ill continue searching if u have a small distro in mind .. u can gladly share ..
thnx again for helping . twice :P

These are the popular light-weight distros you can try.

http://www.puppylinux.com/
http://www.damnsmalllinux.org/
http://tinymelinux.com/
http://www.xubuntu.org/
http://crunchbanglinux.org/

People can recommend distros to the end of the earth, but it is you who has to decide for yourself. You'll know when a distro fits right for you.

Good luck

You're welcome.

BTW, if you still need assistance in linux, feel free to ask even if its choosing a another distro.

- Cheers

What about andLinux? I've never used it, only found out about it this weekend but it sounds like it fits the bill.

i run MinGW on windows , over the years i have found that 90%+ of the code i run on windows was linux or cross build so i just build it on mingw for windows
and using Bash in windows is VERY NICE .I use bash 99% of the time and almost never use CMD.EXE
