Help me to find a good Download tool for linux....


hi.
i need a download tool for my kubuntu.
but i cant find it.
please help me to find one of them...
(i use a dial-up connection to connect to the internet .....)
thanks.

If you aren't afraid of console, you may try using wget or aria2.

d4x? You can also use certain firefox extensions such as DownthemAll.

I use wget on the command line and gftp on a GUI.

For KDE the best download tool is kget. It is a KDE application, and can be easily configured for dial-up connections (auto disconnect function, autoshutdown). Also it has the droptarget function, system tray icon, and much more.

I recommend Kget for KDE. If you use Firefox (or compatible), you can download Flashgot to enable wget and Kget support in Firefox.
