Angry Help !! Help !! Booting from floppy

After rebuilding my linux kernel, I am getting the below error when I boot the system

Unmount /initrd/proc failed
Kernel Panic: No init found. Try passing init= option to kernel

Apparently I am not able to same my system. All that I have is a boot floppy. Can anybody help how to recover from this situation.

well... try to pass the kernel the arguments that you (most likely) forgot to add to the lilo configuration of the new kernel.

please.... don't tell me you deleted the old kernel!

install a bootloader to the MBR, and edit /etc/lilo.conf or /etc/grub.conf to reflect your root partition.

its not that complicated.
