Grub still oading, but no Linux installed

Hello,
I run a dual boot machine, windows xp and ubuntu. I just got rid of ubuntu, but grub is still trying to load, and I am no longer able to get into XP. It comes up to grub, gives me an error 22,and stalls. Any idea how to bypass grub?
Thanks.

Boot from your Windows install disk--rescue mode--and run "fix mbr"

What happened was that grub is still in the mbr, but it it's config file was wiped out when you removed Ubuntu.
