Grub- Send kernel mounting paramaters and does it use switch_root?
My new KVM guest system won't boot up after grub....it complains the root filesystem has invalid options and Grub tries to mount it also as Ext3 when it's confirmed Ext4- and so it mounts the rootfs as read only. The custom kernel and fstab are from another working KVM Guest so I know they are good. I'm thinking something might of gone wrong with Grub install. There's no initrd involved.
Can anyone tell me:
1) Grub hands the filesystem mount parameters to the kernel, correct?
2) Does grub actually use switch_root?
