Hi
I'm trying to configure grub but i get the below error:
Quote:
checking if C symbols get an underscore after compilation... no
checking whether objcopy works for absolute addresses... no
configure: error: GRUB requires a working absolute objcopy; upgrade your binutils
It seems im not the only one with this error, theres a few few similar posts on the net but no solutions. I had the error with .93,.94 and .95. Im using slack 10 with the most recent binutils, objcopy exists and seems to work.
grab all the files off a knoppix cd instead. I assume you know where to put them and where to grab them?
then reboot to your distro and run the grub commands to install it to mbr.
