Gimp Glow Effect


Does anyone know if Gimp can do the same type of glow that paint.net can as this is the only thing am missing to enjoy moving fully to linux the softglow seem to be no where as near as good as the paint.net one

What about the Alien Glow? and the Neon Glow?
