Gentoo/Random lockups

Gentoo randomly locks up on me when I am running X. My mouse still moves, but pressing the caps lock button does not turn the light on on my keyboard.
Could fluxbox have something to do with this? I also suspect that it could be ndiswrapper, which has produced crashes for me in the past (none that were 100% obvious in gentoo).
Does anyone have an idea what this is? I don't exactly know what information to provide.

What are you doing when the system locks up? Surfing the net, or just any old thing? I've had lock ups with a wireless card when talking on a cordless phone.

It hasn't locked up when my computer was idle. It locks up when a web page is loading (happened on both graphical links AND firefox). It also crashed when I loaded a page on my hard drive. The last lockup was when I was playing Enemy Territory. The Sound looped but the system crashed. Numlock/etc didn't work. The CTRL+ALT+F# didn't work either. When it crashed when I was using links or firefox, I could still move the mouse. I could unplug it, plug it back in, etc. It still worked. The screen and the keyboard froze.

ALSA isn't involved (I think), for when I was playing music, that still played during the crash. There was also HD activity, so it appeared to not be a kernel panic.

My suspects:
ATI's FireGL drivers
ndiswrapper .10 (I'll try upgrading this)
