GCC Question

Hello

I've got a c source file, how do I compile it with gcc? it's a driver file for a network card, do I have to use any special program to compile it into my kernel? I'm using redhat 8.0...

If I don't come right with this driver has anyone have a idea to get my network card working in redhat 8.0? ... Windows installs my network card as a realtek. I can't get this network card working in linux and when I goto network devices in xwin, I can't get it to work under eth0? I can manually add it but I have to supply dma/irq settings etc which I don't have...

Thanks
