Gah! My mouse is not tracking!!!
Hoi folks, I'm new to this board and I'm sure that you all have seen this problem in the past but....
Currently I've installed Redhat 7.1 with an unknown installation version of XF86.
Recently I needed to shut my computer down before the power in my building was shut down for repairs.
When I rebooted I found that my mouse was not tracking the X and Y on my screen properly, in short: it bounces, skips, hops and does all those annoying 3 year old behaviors.
When I checked my /etc/X11/XF86Config file it had decided that my /dev for the mouse would be /tt0y. The Protocol was set for a generic MS mouse. ;P
Now to the fun part, I *almost* fixed the problem by setting the following:
Options "Protocol" "imps/2"
Options "Device" "/dev/psaux"
And still it works not!!!
I could paste the actual XF86 section in here... however I'm on a computer that is the length of a football field away from my Linux box and didn't think to copy it down.
If anyone has an idea or a suggestion it would be super-helpful,
Sev
