Frseh install - How to replace old files + settings?

Hi all

I've had hard disc problems on my laptop and have now bought another. I've fresh installed Suse 10.2, Kubuntu and XP. Kubuntu is just to play with, but I've been using Suse as my only O/S for over a year now. I managed to get all my old files and folders from my old disc, but what do I do now?

It took me ages originally (as a newbie) to get all the drivers correct, the programs installed and everything just right. How do I convert my new Suse install to be the same as my old one?? (I don't want to change grub though as I'm now successfully booting 3 O/S's)

Do I just replace all the files in my Home folder with the old ones? But what about the drivers and firmware I had to use? Do I have to add the libraries? I don't mind experimenting, but advice and help greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Oh, and one more thing - can Kubuntu share Suse settings and programs?
