flex your lex


okee ... .i have been trying to install php with a dynamic shared object. Apache installed fine but now the php is giving me nugget

im trying to build php as a dynamic shared object and these are the errors

do i need to install another part of my C compiler with lex or flex?? Do i need bison, Gawk?? If so what is the thing called

soz bout the whole error message

Hmmm... Well, that last "configure" script uses a program called lex in the bangline (i.e. if you check out the source code, it will start with "#!/blah/blah/lex")... I am not familiar with it, but I think this is it.

Oh, one more thing, try running "which lex", maybe it's just a simple issue of symlinking /usr/bin/lex to /usr/local/bin/lex (i.e. if that configure script has the line #!/usr/bin/lex, and your lex executable is installed in /usr/local/bin/lex).

i had a similar problem b4 but i dont recall what i did.

flex is lex i think
