Fedora Core 4 Update Manager

I recently installed Fedora Core 4 because I have heard good things about it in comparison to its pretisesors. I am currently using the yum update manager, however I am curious if there is a graphical update manager for FC4? Reason I ask is because when I had a Slackware 10.1 box I was using slapt-get and for some reason it updated my gui (X11) packages, and then my computer booted up with a kernel panic, and I didnt have a backup kernel, so had to reinstall. I dont want this to happen again with this linux box. I just want something graphical and simple for FC4 if that is possible let me know. Thanks

Yum has a GUI tool called yumex.
Install it with the command: yum install yumex

So you don't want to try yumex or you don't know what GUI is?
