Unhappy FC7: how to get into folders w/o popping up another one ?


as title... i wanna get into a folder directly w/o popping up a 2nd one... really annoying to me. i couldn't find a way to solve it ..

i'm using GNOME desktop... many thanks

Select "View as list" and then expand the subfolders by clicking on the triangular bulets.

thanks !!

however, when i choose one subfolder and double-click to get into it, there pops up a 2nd window... can i just get into this subfolder like windows desktop !!??

Don't double click the folder - just continue clicking the bullets.

hm... thanks.. i guess i've realized the way it's supposed to be used...

It's actually very powerful - when you have expanded to the level you desire you can use right click options to cut, copy, paste files or folders between separate expanded trees in the same window.

Hi, I think what you want is to keep it as icon view, and go to Edit->Preferences, click the Behavior tab, and click "Always open in browser windows."

Then, if you close the current window and open your home folder or any folder, it should always use only one window from now on.

window also has the same interface..but i never use this feature...
