Facebooks failure to integrate linux into their apps.

I have read a few threads here on LQ, and others on similar sites. The basic jist being that people have issues using facebook games. Alot of the time it is said it is just their flashplayer, but I have the most recent and can load other flash based sites. Sometimes it is browser based (alot of the problems seem to happen frequently in Firefox), and I myself switched to chrome and saw a decrease, but games are still choppy and about 25% of the time just don't work.

My opinion being that facebook apps just don't get along with linux (I've had this issue in 2 different distros - a debian build and ubuntu), And I think the solution may be (and excuse my language) a mass bitch fit. By which I mean, get as many people to send Facebook a suggestion/comment/question, with the hopes of the addressing the issue, if it is in fact a problem with their site. Now I know the apps on FB are 3rd party, But I believe the issue to be on facebook's end. I have sent them a suggestion that looks like this:

Quote:
To submit a suggestion, please enter a brief subject and provide additional details below.

Suggestion: Linux compatibility

More Details: I've learned that people using linux have problems with the facebook games. They (myself included) are getting flash errors. But I do not think it is a matter of flash, as other flash sites work fine (and most have the most recent release of flash). It is rather inconvenient, as Facebook is a largely used site and not everyone wants to have a windows based system. Support for apps to interact with the linux systems in a better fashion would be much appreciated.

As I stated, This is my opinion,so if you know it to be false, I'd love to know. If you are having this issue and also think it may be facebooks fault, I think enough people complaining will get the job done. I'd love to hear everyone's views (and any corrections).

At the times I played games on Facebook I had absolutely no problems with that, using Debian and Slackware, 32 and 64 bit.

Well then consider me wrong, haha.

Is there a way to delete one's posts and/or threads? I can't seem to find one, and this would be the perfect occasion.

Threads or posts can't be deleted by the poster and only in extreme cases are they deleted by moderators.

Also, I noticed you wrote "alot" several times in your post, which should really be "a lot" (see the link in my sig).
