One thing you could try is to use tar with the --exclude-from option. This will exclude patterns read from a file.

For example, adapted from the Tar manual:
cd sourcedir; tar -cf --exclude-from excludelist - . | (cd targetdir; tar -xf -)

If you will be depending on find and tar for backups, I would recommend generating the printable version of the docs from the find-utils and tar source. The Finding Files manual is very useful.

Tryed Tar files with exludes didnt work and I don't want to use tar's if I can help for the mount of data begin backed up.
