/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 and 1 being rewritten on reboot


How do I stop rewriting of

/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-{bond0,eth0,eth1}

on Linux reboot?

Can you please let us know what disto ou are using and also post:
cat /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ "interfaces affected here"

I am guessing here but I can see that you are using bonded Internet connection script.

Please paste script as well as this is responsible in most cases for overwriting interfaces(up/down and other settings)

It's probably NetworkManager that's doing it. I like to control all aspects of my own home network, so I disabled NetworkManager on Fedora quite a while ago like this as root:

chkconfig --del NetworkManager
Unfortunately now you'll have to use some systemctl command, if you're using Fedora or similar.
