I am looking for an embedded linux distribution which would run on an x86 233 MHz processor with 128 MB RAM. It will be installed on a CF card with 512 MB or more.
I have tried Voyage Linux but I had some problems with it. It removed apt when I was installing gcc!!! Or it would not compile at all. Its repositories are not well maintained! I tried switching to the default debian one, but also won't work!
I then looked at pyramid linux but it is still under development, so not stable.
I need it for setting up mainly openvpn client and ntop. Any Debian or Red Hat based solution is OK (because of apt and yum for easy installation).
I have checked out puppy and damn small linux just a while ago and unfortunately they don't seem to have support for embedded system. I am installing the linux on a CF card which is used to boot a WRAP device so that's why I need an embedded linux. I also need to install some applications on the system after implementing linux. That's why I require apt or yum.
