Good day!

I'm a newbie in sendmail and I have a question all about changing of email address. One of our employee wanted to change it email add to a new one. What she wants is that there should be a bounce email message telling the sender of the new email address.

I'm running sendmail 8.9.3.20 on a Redhat 6.2 server

Thank you very much in advance

sendmail has nothing to do with this sort of thing, you proabbly want to use procmail and formail to generate a reply. in their home directory, you need a .procmailrc file, and in that something similar to

:0 c
| (formail -X From: ; echo "Subject: Jeff's address has changed" ; echo "Apparently, our mail server isn't good enough for jeff, ,she wants to suse hotmail for some daft reason we don't understand" ) | sendmail -t

yeah? not guarenteeing that'll work instantly, as it's from memory... close tho... you should have `man procmailex` to help you. theres also a vacancy program i think that might be useful
