I have WinXP and Fedora core 3 ( FC3 ) in my System ( P IV 512MHz ). I have removed Fedora Core 3 and now I unable to boot into windows. Previously, I used to get a menu to select the Operating Systems. Now when I un-installed FC3, it is giving error as "unable to load grub".
Can anyone suggest me how to get back WinXP, when I start my sys.
Unfortunately, I dont have Windows CD . It is with the vendor, from whom I bought the PC.
Do you have any alternative solution, I mean without using the CD.
Distribution: Any nix or other OS I can get my hands on!

Use a freinds XP cd, it won't matter for this as a key is not needed. I would get a copy of that venders oem cd if i were you. There is a free app called rockxp that will display the key you are using so you can copy a freinds OEM disc for your own use. But it troubles me the vender did not include a cd or some recovery disc, I would go after it.
MS has a standard boot code for the MBR which does not require the original CD in the case of a XP. Any bootable DOS floppy or Win2k installation CD can do it. Done it loads of time myself.
