Dual boot - 2 disks to one disk

Hi all

I'm currently running a dual boot with Windo$e on hda and Linux on hdb. I'm upgrading my motherboard/cpu and I'll just be using hdb (as its an ATA100 drive) in the new setup.

So......I'm gonna install winblo$e on the first part of the drive and use the rest for Linux.

Not being a partition guru - there's a couple of problems.

1. DOS fdisk doesn't see Linux partitions, yet I need to install winblo$e on part of the Linux formatted disk.
I've got a copy of AEFDISK, but I'm not sure what commands are necessary just to get hdb 'formattable' (with FAT32) for the winblo$e part of the installation. Wouldn't 'delall' screw up both discs? BTW, I need to keep hda running until I know everything is OK!

2. If the partition table is on hda, would fdisk recognise hdb as just another drive if I just put it in and booted up?

I'm probably missing something obvious, but help would be appreciated

Thanks

Dutch

Partition table is on every hd.
In you situation you should resize your Linux partitions (using parted, for example) and create a FAT one.
