i registered my own domain(www.gadhiraju.com) one year back. a month back i successfully installed my suse 7.1 linux, every thing is working fine. My isp is @home cable. can i host my own domain. i mean if i set up the dns and put my domain entry in that, then can all the people access my http://www.gadhiraju.com

help is greatly appriciated

Your domain can point to a static IP. Your web home would be located at that static IP which could be your home computer if your ISP gives you a static IP. This is unlikely unless you purchased your service with static IP specified.

Since it's unlackly that your home computer will have a static IP, you'll find a web host that will provide this for you.

The key is a static IP (an IP address that doesn't change).
