Dialup connection speed

does anyone know where KDE shows connection speed after I have used Neat to connect to my local ISP via 56k modem?

I'm not familiar with Neat but KDE generally has an icon in the lower right hand corner next to the clock that represent's your modem. Hovering your mouse over this icon will show your current connection speed.

thanks for that. my taskbar does not contain any modem info and when I look at preferences, I see no modem choices...

would you happen to know where this config is???

use kppp, then you will see your speed
