Question Cygwin help

I am a total noob to linux, but after 3 days of looking and getting help from a friend, I'm stuck. I have Suse 9.2 running on one box on my home network, and running Win XP pro on the rest. On one box Cygwin works great, I start the session using xwin -query and the ip adress, login, kde starts, and all is well. On my main box I use the same commands, login, and kde goes through the start process, and hangs when it gets to the "loading panel" portion. FVWM doesn't work either, but windowmaker does.

The box that connects fine is SP1 and the one that won't is SP2. I have allowed xserver through the firewall on the SP2 box, and tried it with the firewall off, and it still hangs at the same part.

Any direction on where to look next would be great. I have looked at the Cygwin mailing list, and all throughout this site. Thanks in advance.
