Unhappy Customised desktop for a user

I have a question...
1. I want to set up the desktop of a user.
I want to have 4 terminal windows ($ prompt) opened when he logs in + I want to run a shell script that is an application in an Xwindow by the side. I want to define the size and the position of the windows also.
Is it possible. How is the easiest way to do it?

2. Only experts in HP-UX can answer this. I want to have the functionality like a HP-UX window for the X windows on Linux. I am porting a HP-UX run shell script application to Liuux and it is giving me headaches.

Please help if possible. My e-mail is smathew@sdtechnologies.com.
I am new to this forum

The /etc/skel directory is used to set default settings for users. I would create a "test" user and setup the desktop exactly how I wanted it. When exiting the test used desktop just select to save the settings. Put the autoexec scripts in .xinitrc. When it all works then copy the /home/test into /etc/skel. Then when a new user is created they will be set up the same way.
