I have setup a new hard disk with RH8.0 installed. Now I am trying to copy files from another hard disc which also have Rh8.0 installed.
When I plug in the second hard disc , it prompts me for error. The reason is that the second hard disc was being compromised and I am trying to copy some of the user's file to the new hdd.
I was trying to copy user's /home direcotry as well MYSQL db to the new hard disc.
Both the jumper has been setup correctly and the BIOS are able to detect both the hard disc.
Actually, both the hard disc has WHM/CPanel installed and the kernel installed on both hdd are different as well. Will this affect the loading?
The error message shown in while booting is too long. What I can say is it shows that there is some error loading the LAN card drive and the eth0 was not able to detect.
What you are saying is that the PC boot to the new hard drive without the old one installed? Then when you install the old hard drive, it does not boot. Does it look like it is booting to the old hard drive? Did you set the BIOS to boot to the new hard drive? If the new hard drive is setup as the secondary master that you need to set the boot sequence so that the first boot device is IDE 3 (or IDE 2 if the Pri Master is IDE 0).
