convert text file to binary excel file


is there any method / tools good to convert text file (eg. .csv / .prn) to excel file on the shell , i try some modules , it seems ok, could suggest other method ? thx

Excel accepts basic HTML4 files (without CSS) as its own. This permits to use borders, text color, background color, fonts... Note, though, that Excel colors are picked in a palette, so the rendered color on screen is the color in the palette, that Excel found closest to the one you specified.
