Convert CCYYMMDDhhmmss to Unix Epoch.

I know how to convert from Unix Epoch to human readable format via the date command (date --date="1970-01-01" <unixepochseconds> seconds) but I don't know how to convert from CCYYMMDDhhmmss format to Unix Epoch. I tried Googling for it but to no avail. Please help.
