Unhappy console problems after 2.6.x compiling

Hi folks, after kernel 2.6.3 compilation i noticed that is not possible to load my keyboard native language and menu programs for console (modconf,sndconf,kbdconfig... and so on) have some little appearance problems.
Other friends are reporting the same problem. I was told that it's something related with framebuffer options during compilation but i don't know if its true or what i have to do !

Has anyone had this problem ?
Any sugestions ?

Thanks in advance,
Eduardo

I'm not sure...I had no problems when compiling 2.6.

have you enabled the following thing in your kernel (read below)? I've been hearing news that unless enabled, console problems will most certainly appear.....

in File Systems -> Pseudo Filesystems -> dev/pts file system for Unix98 PTYs (and possibly too: Device Drivers -> Character devices -> Unix98 PTY support)

I'm not sure if this has nothing to do with you, but I did enable them because I don't like compiling kernels all day.... better make sure in the first time.

Maybe you should try building all thew keyboard stuff into the kernel instead of as a module. Also try building native language into kernel. Sound, I don't know, if you are using OSS try using ALSA.
