clearing cache, web cache on linux

I am using file_get_contents() command to read the feed URL which gets updated every 30 secs..
The problem is as follows:
This command to read the output of the URL does not gives the updated values from the feed.. The possible reason I could figure out is that it may be giving output from the server cache and is displaying old values becoz on my local system I used to get the latest values by running the same command.....

Do you think so??

I want to try removing server cache.. Moreover, is it good to remove/disable cache ??Does it have any bad effects for the sites on the server.. I have more than 50 websites on my server..

thnx

Rather than removing the server cache I suggest that you find out why the cache is not being updated with the updated values from the feed.
