chmod 111 problem

Hi All,

I goofed up bad. I accidentally did a "chmod 111 /etc", "chmod 111 /bin", and "chmod 111 /lib".
How do I restore these back to thr original permissions? After I reboot I can't get into video mode!!! Ouch!!!

You should boot from a floppy or the install CD (choose rescue mode)and then do chmod 751 for each dir. You might have to mount them manually first, though.
