Changing file permissions while doing ftp

Hi ,

I am trying to automate ftp to transfer files from windows to Linux server automatically and my script looks like this .

@echo off
SET CUSTOM=/apps12i/oracle/KIRAN/apps/apps_st/appl/custom/12.0.0/reports/US
echo user oracle> ftpcmd.dat
echo oracle>> ftpcmd.dat
echo bin>> ftpcmd.dat
echo cd %1 >>ftpcmd.dat
echo put %2 >> ftpcmd.dat
echo quit>> ftpcmd.dat
ftp -n -s:ftpcmd.dat 10.1.1.150
del ftpcmd.dat

Any files we transfer through ftp from windows , their default permissions to be set 755 automatically . We are using Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 4 (Nahant Update 7) . Is there any way we can do this .

Regards

Bala

You need to change the default umask on your system or configure your ftp server to change the umask.
