Changing default colour

Hey, sounds like a simple question but i am trying to change the blue colour just after you have logged in to redhat 9. The blue that comes up when the KDE splash screen is on. Anyone have any idea how to do this, i have been trying for hours!

Hi.

Edit /usr/bin/startkde
There's a couple of lines that look like:
test "$XDM_MANAGED" || bkg="-solid #5477A0"
xsetroot -cursor_name left_ptr $bkg

The #5477A0 is the colour for the background. Change that to whatever you want.

P.S. I don't know if this is the same on all distrobutions, but this applies to Fedora/RedHat.

hey, thanks for that. worked a treat - i needed it to be black (the blue just didnt work with my general theme)! happy linuxing!
