Question Central place to browse Linux configs?


Is there a place I can browse Linux configurations? Conky, X, vi?

The closest thing I can think of is gnome-look.org, but that does not fit the bill exactly. Search has not turned up anything immediately, are there any hidden gems I am missing?

The gnome-look.org site is really just for eyecandy. Linux keeps it configuration files in /etc, but it's not recommended that you edit these files unless you know what you're doing.

Some utilities will also keep user-level config files in the user's home directory.

What exactly are you trying to achieve?

Really that is it, to see if there is a website were different linux configs are shared.
