career suggestion

Hi

This is vijay, working in wipro technologies as a wintel administrator(windows). my experience is just 3 months as i completed my post graduation in 2010.
I would like to pursue certification, im so confused to take part in any training. Although im much interested in server and virtualisation, can anyone advise me any certification that has immense growth in future?

don't get certified, just use things you are interested initially and worry about mostly pointless token gestures like certifications once you KNOW stuff. Certification is not about learning things, but proving that you already know things, so are pointless until you know things.

Greetings,

Before you decide to shift to Linux certifications,
I would like to state that you should also consider your "interests",
before plunging into any kind of "change", if you thinking of shifting
to Linux things, I recommend you to do a "dry run" before, i.e.
figure out what sort of things that are needed (ever heard of things called
Awk, bash scripts)?? If no, Google them out.

also Google out
Quote:
tldp Linux system administration
,
Read the results and you'll know the depth of waters.

and as far as getting a job after Linux certifications (i.e RHCE etc)
is concerned, it depends on whether you've passed the certification
exams for getting the degree only or learning Linux. and Linux
administration DOES have a great scope where you live!

Salary depends on the place where you live and the company in which you
are applying. (That is a secondary issue)

Its appearing you are taking it too easy, as I said before and as acid_kewpie
has said too, it is important to KNOW the stuff, certification can be acquired later on too.
To KNOW the stuff, google out the terms I told you in the above post, see if you have the
courage/grit/determination to jump in?
