hey! as many of you probably know from the slashdot article, there is a ntfs thing for linux that allows full read and _write_ access, but using wine to emulate the actual xp ntfs.sys kernel or whatever.
anyways, tried to install it but ran into problems, they didn't really provide much install doc...
so...runnin slack9.1. tried installing from tar.gz, didn't work. tried converting the rpm, didn't work. i can't seem to get it loaded.
whenever i try to mount something, i get this:
Captive NTFS v1.1.2. Check new version:
http://www.jankratochvil.net/
Preparing LUFS kernel module... Run /usr/share/lufs/prepmod if problems occur.
lufs module not loaded: Try running /usr/share/lufs/prepmod to see more. at /usr/bin/captive-lufsd line 174
at line 174:
+ /sbin/rmmod lufs 2>/dev/null; /sbin/insmod /usr/share/lufs/modbin/lufs-gcc-2.96-81-RedHat-2.4.20-13.7.i686/lufs.o 2>/dev/null
...which doesn't tell me much either...
so yeah if anyone's installed this successfully share your advice please!
