Can I send spam to hell please?

Anyone know any effective way of blocking spam..... I prefer a free linux utilty that will work with exim. I already have spam assasin and all it does is tag spam as [spam] and mind you its not so effective and it has no reporting tools.

Im not sure if something exists that meets my wishes...

Wishes:
1) a utility or something that uses a few dnsbl lists and spam lists
2) It has the option of deleting mail or sending spam to a special mailbox
3) It reports all spam to such lists if the send isnt already listed.

anything to get rid of some of the incoming spam would be nice!

Maybe configure exim to detect the [spam] tag put in by SpamAssasin? I know how to do it in Evolution, but not anything else.

I guess the sole reason for this tag to exist is exactly to be filtered by some email filter. The question is how to config exim.

You know, I use evolution too. I got pissed to receive so many spams, that I bothered to write filters for every new spam. But I had a hdd crash and lost everything. Now I delete'em manually.

On my home box, I am using Evolution to collect email from my ISP and spamassassin to flag emails as spam. Then I created a filter in Evolution to send the spam to a folder where I can check to make sure things are ok. That can be changed to other things like delete or stop processing.....

Check this site here
for a config tool used to set up the local.cf . For the system wide setup I am using, that is in /etc/mail/spamassassin/ but if you want to do it individually, it's in your home directory. For example: /home/Fred/.spamassassin/user_prefs

In Evolution,
Create a folder called Spam
Go to Tools and create a new filter and set it up like this...

If
Code:
Pipe Message to Shell Commmand /bin/spamassassin -P -e does not return 0
then
Code:
Move to Folder "Spam" in "Local Folders"
Set Status Read
