Can't get Moonlight plug-in for Firefox to play MS Silverlight Media files
I am using Fedora Core 6, it does almost everything that I want it to, but I want to watch ITV programs on the ITV web site, just like I can on the BBC website (Adobe Flash) but, I can't get Moonlight (Linux version of Microsoft Silverlight) to work in my firefox browser. I have installed the mono-moonlight package from the Novell wesite but it doesn't work. I've up-graded Firefox from version 1.5 to 2. Moonlight installs fine, but when I go to a silverlight test site, I am just asked if I want to install Siverlight, with a link to Microsoft.
I have also followed the instructions, on the moonlight-mono web site, to install moonlight from source, most of which worked OK, but when I run ./configure for moon, it stops with a dependency problem with srvg2-sharp missing. The srvg2 package won't install, due to dependency problems and when I try to resolve each dependency problems I find that I get more problems with conflicting file versions. This probably because I have installed some components from source tar balls and others from rpms. It's all got into a bit of a mess now.
Has anyone managed to get moonlight working with Fedora and Firefox, if so, which method was used? Many thanks for any help with this problem.
