Can't find DVD tutorials

Hi, I'm trying to find a tutorial on DVD burning. I searched on google for "dvd burning" and later "linux dvd recording". I couldn't find much help under either search. Do you guys know of a good tutorial? I'm using Slackware kernel version 2.6.14.I have cdrecord version 2.01 installed which constantly complains of "unsettled issues with linux 2.5 and newer." Thank you for the help.

I'm looking to burn from the command prompt before getting a frontend to do it for me.

growisofs from the dvd+rw-tools package is probably what you are looking for.

Urg, I actually read half way through that document. I was thinking, "OK tell me how to write a DVD..." Anyways, thanks for showing me that.

Maybe you should have skimmed over it first - if you got only halfway then you missed the paragraph starting with:

What kind of problem do you have using a command like:

growisofs -Z /dev/dvd -R -J /some/files

man growisofs would have shown this too
